PROFILE OF PIONEER MINISTER

Rev. Canon Patricia Wick started her work as Pioneer Minister in September 2015. Most people know her as Trisha. Brought up in Surrey Trisha’s family moved to North Yorkshire in 1990. Her family home is in Filey but she now lives in Bilton. Trisha has worked in Hull before. From 1991 – 1998 she lived on Victoria Dock and started the Church there. She was also part time Chaplain at Dove House Hospice and Chaplain to the Lord Mayor for a year. From 1998 – 2015 Trisha was a missionary with the Church Mission Society and spent 17 years working in South Sudan.

Trisha’s work as a Pioneer Minister can be divided into three main areas: 1. Responsibility for managing the Welcome Centre 2. Work amongst the people who live on Longhill 3. Develop a new way of doing Church. This will emerge after consultation with local people.
